Clopidogrel is a medicine used to reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack in patients who have already had a heart attack or stroke, or have other circulatory problems due to narrowing and hardening of the arteries. Before using Clopidogrel

How to use Clopidogrel
Use this medicine as recommended by your physician. Clopidogrel should be taken orally with or without food.

In case you miss a dose of Clopidogrel, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next intake, skip the missed dose and take it according to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take double doses to catch up.
Important safety information
Be careful when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities as Clopidogrel usage may lead to dizziness or lightheadedness. Try to avoid such activities. Alcohol and certain other medicines may increase the risk of unfavorable reactions while taking Clopidogrel.

In case you could become pregnant, consult with your doctor and discuss the benefits and risks of using Clopidogrel while you pregnancy. It is not clear whether Clopidogrel passes into breast milk. Avoid breast-feeding a baby while taking Clopidogrel.
Possible side effects of Clopidogrel

Seek emergency immediately in case you have any of these severe side effects: severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bleeding in the eye; change in vision; chest pain; difficulty breathing; discoloration of urine or stools, including black, tarry stools; excessive bleeding from cuts; increased bleeding; increased menstrual bleeding; pale skin; seizures; severe, persistent headache; sore throat or fever; speech problems; unexplained vaginal bleeding; unusual bleeding from gums when brushing; unusual bruising; weakness; yellowing of skin/eyes.
